I learned on a RWD - pickup truck in snow is no fun.

Had a FWD for years. Spun out a lot - even at dead slow speeds, Saturn SC2 just has too much power for a manual transmission FWD in snow/ice. Plus I was pushing snow a lot.

This 4wd has nice clearance, and I haven't spun out at all.

I did slide thru an intersection in the rain, but it was cause I wasn't paying attention and the light was red, so I panic stopped - and it just wouldn't stop. Too heavy.

BUT I slid through the intersection under control and never lost control. Went between two cars that were in the middle of making a left turn in front of me.

I bet I scared the heck outta them. I know it scared me.

In my saturn I would have broadsided at least one if not both, and that assumes I would have THAT much control - more likely I would have submarined under one and turned my coupe into a convertible.
