you dismissed my comment with a smarmy comment. I returned the favor.

I quote you:

OK - perhaps not. But if the same drivers had been in 4WD, perhaps not all of them would be on the side of the road? 4WD is a bit safer in snow/ice than 2WD, and claiming that ANY 2WD is always better than teh evil 4WD is just silly.

That's OK - I agree. But it is NOT as good as a 4WD in the same situation. Just because it would be adequate does not make it superior or equal to a 4wd.

Now we get to your smarmy comment:

To which I replied that your argument held no water because it was patently false. You disagree, that is fine, it does not change the fact that you are wrong, and 4WD is safer than 2WD if the drivers are equal.
