the road clearance is so low it is useless offroad the primary use I have for 4x4. I in fact drive two vehicles, here in northern BC where snow and ice are the norm right now.. I drive a Prius daily and I own an ugly, ancient F150 for hauling firewood, hunting and fishing offroad, etc. An escape, from my perspective, is made solely for the urban market - where imo (seing as my 2wd prius works fine here) - 4x4 is not necessary
