People are naturally aggressive, warlike, and seek conflict.

When populations grow too large, the natural tendency is to have a war and cull out the most violent of them.

So what we need is a nice war to get rid of all the violent folks.

Unfortunately, the ones dying are not always the violent and bloody-minded ones that sent them there and started the wars in the first place.

I think the politicians that start the wars and send the troops should be LEADING the troops from the front lines.
