and it made a bit of a comeback as a sea monster in Pirates of the Carribean 2. And I've seen Clash of the Titans in the theater during its first run as well as many times on reruns, and I don't remember that line from the movie. However, I know who Perseus was (and I was quite nit picky about how CotT diverged from Bullfinch and other Greek Mythology sources, IIRC).
