Cheyenne during the recent snows than 2WD's. Ice respects no one. I prefer the 4wd large tire vehicles in deep snow only. Even on moderate snow packed roads or an ich or two, the 4WD's have a greater risk of spinning out. My "snow" car is a 96 Volvo wagon with s snow gear - lower torgue automatic. Can't use it too much . it'll burn out. My "green car" a 2002 Prius is good in snow IF AND ONLY IF I have a very light foot. It has a ton of torque. A neat feature is that if I am stopped on ice, I can start so slowly (with the battery).
