Mashed potatoes... turned into dip for chips... (Tasty outcome though.)
What I did:
Feeling lazy, so I popped four small potatoes (chopped into eights) into a pressure cooker and let it blow five whistles. Peeled the skin and dropped them into a blender, added the entire contents of a 200 gm pack of curds (pretty sour. The pack was sitting in the fridge for atleast ten days) salt, pepper, a dash of tabasco habanero and a small packet of oregano (left over from a pizza takeaway), and let it run for a couple of minutes. I found it a little too runny for my taste.
Enter stage two:
Dumped the paste into a saucepan where I had just finished making some capsicum curry and not cleaned it out (some of the oil and spice was still at the bottom). Then I added, half a cup of milk in the blender to clean things up and added that to the sauce pan as well). Started on high heat, went to low, then medium and finally pack to high. I started getting tired, and dumped the contents into a bowl. By the time it cooled, I had a nice sour spicy dip with a hit of capsicum. :p
Can anyone tell me what went wrong?
