I'm the one who e-mailed Tyop; it was about what happened yesterday. Essentially, these three posts:

Because it was three posts, all on one day, which seemed to be mocking Phoon (especially rhinobird's) -- and especially taking them all together -- it felt to me like they were picking on Phoon, so I sent them both an e-mail telling them to stop, and suggesting they apologise.
I probably oughtn't to have used the expression "picking on" --- there was certainly no malicious intent, and I shouldn't have implied that. Just insensitivity at worst, and an unfortunate coïncidence at best.
I guess I also owe Tyop and rhinobird an apology for coming down too heavily upon them. But I also think that that collection of posts was unfortunate enough to warrant an apology, if not over intent, then over effect.
