crime rates are heavly influanced by socital issues. The Swiss also have a very low crime rate and they allow you to own weapon that are all but baned in the US.

In the US we have very wide spectrum of sub cultures. I live in a place like you do, almost no crime. We don't lock our doors. We leave our cars running while we are in the store.

I have in the past lived in places that I would not go out at night unarmed. Crime is about so many other things then silly gun laws. That is why I get so worked up over this, these laws are just feel good legislation that has nothing to do with the problem.
