Then some "gnome" decided they should implement in Java - to accomodate the Mac users. I can just picture the day: Gnome: "Hey! Java will run on both platforms!" Manager: "That means we only need to produce one version!" Now there are two files to download (a jar and an exe) totalling over 32 MB and Mac users still have to download a different version!
