Felons are as a rule prohibited from voting here in the states. That is within the keeping of the covenants of society as felons have demonstarted a willingness to deprive others of their basic human rights.

Also voting here is a constitutionally guaranteed right, to all of those who have not demonstrated an unwillingness to abide by the rules required of them.

As for your last two sentences the answer is no. One of my shooting partners is a Menonite. She LOVES target shooting but would never use a gun in self-defense. I consider that position foolish, but that is also a basic human right. The right of free will. My position is not that everyone HAVE a weapon it is that they have the CHOICE.
