It really takes out a lot of the flavor of the film. Since these are only 6 megapixel scans, I suppose it's inevitable. Mathematically, (since they're 2000x3000 pixels for a 24x36 mm image), that works out to roughly 2100 samples/inch, which is really pretty crappy.
