You vote for who makes these laws.

If you (general you here) vote to keep putting people in power who misuse that power, or if you do NOT vote and allow these people to get into power, then it's your responsibility.

The only ones who can stop ANY sort of abuse are the voters.

If they won't do it, they deserve what they get.
