...are as personal, nor as easily corrupted, as one's DNA. Simply put, why should my government keep track of it? And who's to stop them from deciding it's equally expedient to start using the collected DNA profiles in a medically scary way? I guess I have to ask...how much of your identity and/or freedom are you willing to give up to achieve faster and more certain crime resolution? I personally begrudge every bit of privacy I have to surrender as a concession to criminal activity. Why should criminals have to steal (pardon the pun) so much from law abiding citizens?
