You may want to have '(Optical) Image Stabilisation (OIS) or
'shake reduction' (comes in other different names, too). Also useful with long range shots with tele zoom (shaking will show worst effects with that). Most SLRs have that eliminated by the lens system in the objective, some cameras have it in their body.
If you have standard rechargeables instead of proprietary accus (even though the LiIon or LiPolymere may last longer), you can switch to normal batteries if you run out of power inexpectantly.
Manufacturers/models: Canon, Nikon, Panasonic with Leica lens, _some_ Kodak, some Konica&Minolta, Fuji, Olympus, some Casio.
Sometimes older models of a better class are cheaper than newer models of a lower class. Depending on what zou want to spend, digital SLRs do pretty fine photos just from a superior technical reasons. Over the years, the comsumer models also shrunk in size.
Maybe the objective should be standard size so you can apply filters or even change it (SLRs again). |
