FF problems? by voxwoman2006-12-13 04:28:06
One reason more to switch by SciSSorS 2006-12-13 06:32:13
to ... firefoxPortable (see at portableapps.com)
It helped me recover when OOo started to fool with me, suddenly crashing etc. The portable version hardly interferes with the Windows fluff, and lets me install "newer" OOo versions without needing "administrator" rights.
The same may be true for FF.

Oh, and the FF (normal FF) profiles ... seem to be in /myfiles/ but I changed that, long ago. The "default" is indeed in ...
C:\Documents and Settings\$windowsUsername$\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\lrwh6fvs.NAMEOFYOURPROFILE

Of course, "searching" for bookmarks.html and looking where you find the "last changed one" will help too. Your lrwh6fvs may vary ( Is that a new spam-fighting form of YMMV ? )

Oh, and I seem to have found some "bookmarks.xml" files too, ALL of them located in a folder that has /Rational/ in its path name. That's vertainly NOT a firefox bookmarks file but some leftover of a "development install".
