It is remarkable that the names of the characters are very different even when staying in the same language.. Like kakafonic and Troubadix (in english).. (it`s Assurancetourix in Dutch :), probably because all the things he breaks or from his many hammer-induced injuries :) ) Same thing is with the dog of Obelix. It is either Dogmatix of Idefix..
