This is a specific type of cancer, and the tests showed that tumors were growing, so it seems that there is a significant corelation. I don't see what numbers have to do with anything. All out blood cells are made from stem cells, and we have a lot of those. The problem with this is that most mutated cells dont reproduce, or at least not well. Stem cells with mutations would seem much more likely to produce cancerous, viable cells then simply cells with genetic mutations.
