I'm all for Nuclear power .... " GOVERNMENT-commissioned report on nuclear power delivers reckless conclusions that will consign Australia to a toxic legacy,..." ... as opposed to releasing squillions of tons of muck into the atmosphere from burning coal etc????? SURE, other renewable energy would be 'better' (eg, wind, hydro etc) but it seems at this stage they don't stack up. I read somewhere of a better option again..... I don't remember most of the facts, but the plan involved digging a couple of REALLY DEEP (read: bore) holes way down into the lava basically and using that to super heat water to drive turbines. sounds really cool-i-mean-HOT
