Oh, and the velocity of light *in* an optical fiber is something less than 'c'.

I believe the fastest transistor switch was something on the order of 500 GHz when supercooled (350 GHz at "normal" temperatures).

So, the fastest internet data rate is probably somewhat less than 350 Gbps using a *single* data line.
