when you're connecting to an old PII 400Mhz on a 33.6 dialup. True internet connection speeds are limited by the law of averages. You may find a system with a lightning fast connection to download from, but what are the routers between you and it running at? How about the DNS servers? While in Utah I expereinced the pure joy that is a true 15Mb internet connection. Unfortunately, I couldn't stomach the state and could not find a server that would do that connection justice. FYI
