Unless they are what is known as special protective officer (security with arrest powers) OR are an off duty cop. a security guard ONLY has the power of intimidation and or threat of what they MIGHT do to you. a Security guard cant even CUFF you let alone lay a hand on you. At best they can issue a citizens arrest. which is basicaly them telling you that you have to stay right there while the police are called. but they cant physicaly detain you in any real meaningfull way. I am a security officer. I know what that guy can and cannot do.
