Is this being snobbish? by hadji2006-11-20 13:06:36
... and the scary thing is, they have the vote. by run.dll 2006-11-20 15:54:26
I used to work for Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. and the number of people I have met who are dead set against nukular energy but utterly ignorant about reactor designs and operation, plus the nature of reactor waste, is utterly appalling. They see no difference between the RBMK (Chernobyl) reactor design and modern western designs. I don't expect the average person to be up on the minutiae of reactor design, but if one is going to be actively opposed to nuclear power, one should take the time to become knowledgeable or else shut up.

(Hmm, am I ranting? :)
