If it was only the stewardess, then she is the fossil in question, but certainly should have shut up about it. I could not envision a stewardess making that fuss unless other customers were complaining though.

What I can't figure out is why Delta let a stewardess remove a passenger for this unless things got very loud and argumentative.

I repeat that she should not have been removed. When the request to cover up was ignored it should have been dropped and the other passengers could have proceeded to ignore her. Including subtle forms of petty revenge like pushing the seats back, and not letting them out once the plane landed. But i do think the breastfeeding militia should continue to have a little bit of thought for the 50's era programming still present in many boomers. It is not like it will be a problem once they die out.
