You would tell me to cover up, no doubt. What the article also did not state was how it came to everyone's attention. I was in a restaurant one time and you could hear that child slurping clear across the room. The price of the meal etc. I felt it was entirely resonable to ask the young woman to feed her child out of earshot of the other diners. I did not allow my child to yell and scream or somesuch as to cause a disturbance, so why should she?
Perhaps this was a similar case, and the flight attendant asking her to cover up was a way to mollify a passenger who really did not want to listen to a child slurping on a breast.
