I consider them all equally important.

History is a wealth of examples of poor engineering and why things should be over engineered.

In real world engineering cost is one of the key considerations, cost is an economic issue and the economy has more to do with psychology than mathematics.

While the social sciences my be far from the scientific method and ideal at times they are often far more important in the real world than the hard sciences.
