| The common consensus in the US is that breasts should not be uncovered in public. Many people disagree with this, yes. Theoretically, it's entirely natural and moral for me to have sex with my wife, even from most religious standpoints. Does that mean that I should be able to have sex with her in public? An absurd example, but it's an issue of what fits in with the common morality/sense of decency (in the "modesty" sense). It may change with time, but that's just the way it is right now. The flight attendant was attempting to stop the display of the act, not the act itself. I don't think that's an inappropriate request. |
