Any more uncomfortable then tyrin to get a toddler in position in the first place? (Frankly tryin that in a coach plane seat sounds pretty dreadful to begin with. I could barely manage mine on a sofa by the time they hit 9 months.)

I know many children are fed to that age, but rarely out in public. By two they are a lot of solid food and breast feeding should be a suppliment, not a main staple.

I'd guess this was mostly a comfort issue for the child, as oppossed to a necessary meal.
