I currently have 2 bank accounts and a building society account in the UK, 1 bank account, 1 credit union account and 2 brokerage accounts (one from the company stock purchase / options plan and one from my own investments) in the US. The US bank account is purely for ease of transfer to the UK since I can keep things within the same back that way, I use the credit union account for all the day to day stuff.
