Exactly. It's a _practical_ set of axioms by hobbs 2006-11-20 13:58:27
  1. Existence exists
  2. Through the application of our senses, we can gain knowledge of the universe. This knowledge may be more or less imperfect, but we strive for more perfection.
  3. We can use this gained knowledge to learn how best to interact with the universe to achieve our goals and desires. Again, this procedural knowledge may be imperfect, but it can be refined by the application of our minds to what we've learned about the universe.
Pretty simple, and experience shows that as a belief system it works well, arguably better than any other, but people are willing to ignore these ideas, or else to ignore them in one part of their lives, while trying to keep to them in another, and then they wonder why everything gets so confusing when the two meet :)
