why should the men be sent in to do the hard work and the women not? When it comes to dying, I guess the only argument that can realistically be put forward is that men can't give birth. BUT, by the same token, you need two people to create children - a man and a woman. So you should be able to argue that neither gender should go to war, or both should go.
