Rangel is showing poor judgement IMO, by bringing up this old idea of his in order to make a point about the current Iraq conflict. Which he'll probably find out, both from other members of the Democratic Party and from the interested public.

The good leadership I mentioned elected 2 weeks ago would be the new Democratic majorities in the House and Senate that are to replace the previous Republican ones, which IMO (and apparently a lot of voters) had gone plainly bad. Hope that clears up my standpoint.

And just so it's clear, I hope the Republican Party goes through a thorough reform process, so that sometime in the future it can be called good leadership when it finds itself in power again.

Would you happen to have any response to the other parts of my post?
