How do you both stand on the issue of Child Abuse? It can lead to the very same disorders. I bet you can't stand the idea of child abuse, and would like the government to find another family for the kids to live in, and some way of stopping it from happening again.
How is sending some unprepared kid off to war any different? You're sending them to an horrid experience and when someone says "But what about the mental disorders this causes?", you say "They can treat that now".
As to them not being sent to war - maybe, but I don't think that highly of the US, and believe that a lot of them would. Let me quote:
"If we're going to challenge Iran and challenge North Korea and then, as some people have asked, to send more troops to Iraq, we can't do that without a draft." |
