so if "the power" here is the cellphones battery power: it will *not* work.
Of course, the cellphone, powered by a battery, will go on "working" if *other* stuff starts ... failing, due to power outages.
And the antenna towers: if THEY go "off", too bad, as now we 'll need a wired phone to call the electricity company. Or will they know "immediately" that this should be restored ?
(Well, if it's a europe-wide outage, it will take a while before it comes back. And in USofA that seems to be a problem too)
