this a couple of times. He's done 3 tours in Iraq now, and he's usually back for about 6 - 12 months while he attends schools before shipping out again. As those schools are all over the country, he can run into all sorts of issues with utilities, rent, etc.
I have his Power of Attorney, so all his stuff comes to me while he's gone, and a couple have contained "intent to sue" because companies think he owes them money NOW.
They get quite apologetic when it's pointed out to them just how much trouble they can get into legally if they try to claim from an active service member while he's deployed or away on business.
He always gets it sorted out as soon as he can, but still ... If you think no one cares, just try missing a payment or two :P
