how will this affect me? what do we gain and lose as a nation and individually by this policy?
The devil is in the details. How can we pay for 100,000,000 new troops lodging and income anyway? What about their lives and what they leave behind? Won't that kill the economy? If I were drafted, we would lose our house. That would happen in a lot of cases. ... there goes the housing sector. My wife would have no money for entertainment, pleasure travel, gifts, etc... there goes all discretionary spending.
Would the preparedness benefits outweigh this? |
