Rice Cookers - good or evil? by ellyssian 2006-11-20 09:23:59
I've been advised that the best way to cook rice - especially if you want to set it to be ready when you come home from work - is with a rice cooker.

I have also been advised that they are a waste of money.

As I haven't used them, I don't know where the truth lies.

I haven't slow-cooked rice at all - just boiled on the stove, or baked in the oven - but I figure the crockpot should do much the same job as a rice cooker, except be flexible enough to have other uses as well.
