Unless Peace_Man's idea is build-in: "The draft should be accompanied by a service for conscientious objectors. People who would never have joined the army in the first place should serve their country in other ways. Reforestation, park maintenance, even road building or maintenance. There must be many options." Alternatively, Stop sending your people out all over the world. There are way too many gravestones for American soldiers fallen in Vietnam and Korea. An army is to defend your homeland. Unless a country ASKS for your help. But with Iraq, that wasn't the case.
