another linux question by thethinman 2006-11-20 06:55:18
trying to install ubuntu on an old compaq laptop i own.it isn't all that old, a little over 18 months old. while trying to partition the drive, it refuses to do it. that leaves me the option of writing over the entire drive, which i don't wish to do, or skipping the install all togther. is there another option on how to force thru the partition?

thanks in advance
