To cut food with. Havent cut myself since high school with a kitchen knife. Teacher freaked out when I grabbed a hot empty pan and heat sealed the cut. Mrs Wilson always had a weak stomach. She forgot that I was working in a kitchen as a prep cook. and thus was always burning myself. Before I got a chefs jacket I was always burning the hair off my amrs barehanding stuff out of the brick oven.
