We had the famous (yes, I'm biased) Diplom here, but that's in the process of being replaced by a combined system of bachelor/master. As the bachelor is a final degree (not everyone is allowed to make a Master afterwards) they have to cram everything into the first few years of the studies. There is no more time to learn what you want.
