problems? Do I have an alternative? Will it compile on a Slackware box?
Maybe.
A few years ago I managed to get a "sufficiently accurate" version of the various interaction effects of the US tax code implemented in a Quattro spreadsheet that it was useful for fairly detailed tax-effect planning, only off by less than half a dollar at the end of the year for a pretty wide variety of scenarios, including a bunch of mutal-fund and incentive stock option creativity.
If the compatibilty issues were fixed, I could port and do a little update, and maybe, just maybe, get a little spare dosh out of it above the sticker price.
And the IRS is *cough* peculiar in how they build them tax-lookup tables for most incomes. |
