Like I said, I thought about it for my son, but then looking in to it, I realized that the bulb life seriously reduced it's usefullness as a regular viewing source.
But if it CAN be used with a better bulb, then I might still get one for him.
(But that brings up other questions WRT cooling. It already says not to be placed on carpets or have the cooling vents blocked, which is SOP, but if it gets TOO hot with the "low end" bulb in it, I'd hate to see what happens with a higher-rated one in it...)
Do they make LED bulbs for projectors? Maybe lasers? |
