| t that it's a local thing, however the Bank of Arkansas and Bank of America ATM's have the same thing...this sliding scale. Maybe that's just because of this market. I never try to hit the random, out of state owned bank, because those usually charge $2.
However, I did have to hit one this weekend. Mom came down and stayed in Rogers, for our "Thanksgiving" because they are remodeling over Thanksgiving weekend, and she stayed at the new John Q Hammons/Embassy Suites, and we went to the new outdoor mall they opened in Rogers. I stopped at this store called Black and White, to get my sister a gift for Christmas. The idiot sales clerk runs my debit card, and kicks it back to me, saying declined (she didn't run it as credit, and wouldn't, because I'm sure it has to do w/ the fact that the first question I was asked was "who helped me" and my answer was "no one" because no one did help me). I knew better, so I told her to hold the gift, and I found the ATM got the $, and went back to pay (in which, I was asked again who was helping me, and I pointed to the lady, who came up and said "sorry, I should have run it as credit the first time"..she just wanted commission...and I didn't feel like arguing over a $20 keychain...)
Anyway, to make a long story short (toolate) I checked my account today, and on a $30 withdrawl, It still only charged me 50Cents, and my bank didn't charge me anything.
Your right, I think the worse charge I saw was $4.50 from the ATM, then $2.50 from my bank, but we were in Florida at the time. |
