I'm not sure if the US calles it Armistice Day still or of it is memorial day, veterans day or some other name.
It is a major observance for those of us who have served, those who have had a parent or grandparent serve in the forces, and thse who enjoy the fredoms that were won at the ultimate cost.
Even if you do not observe this in your country, say thanks to a soldier, shake the hand of a vetern, or write a letter to a soldier serving over seas. Even if you are anti-war (and many soldiers are) they are doing something for you so you don't have to. |
