If you want more bandwidth for your browsing then you need to enable either bandwidth throttling/limiting or you could use Fair/QoS queueing which allows you to prioritize your connections. Examples of how to do both are available on the web. If you are using a commercial "broadband" router then Fair/QoS queuing is probably your only option. It is supported by most broadband routers.
