The board has rules for a reason, and those rules must be applied fairly, regardless of whether or not the recipient of the insult took offense. If arbitrary exceptions are made, then the rules become unenforceable, and this forum will become like all the others on the 'net where any debate degenerates into name calling.

It's not about whether or not you were insulted, it's about keeping this place a cut above.
