Does the prospect of other students harassing you and beating on you, while the teacher does NOTHING, appeal to you any better? Both extremes are terrible. Properly enforced, Catholic schools work because they're not afraid to punish kids and impose disclipline. And, of course, part of that equation is parents willing to stick by the teachers. However, it's part of the school's duty of care to make sure they don't have utter psychos on the staff (or pervs...)
