not true. LEGO is alomost never missing a piece by volg 2006-11-05 08:28:57
Megablocks and the rest however usually are missing pices. In my 20 years of collecting LEGO, I have had 3 sets actually missing a piece. I now have a LEGO collection worth around $10k US...But that is a nice Timberwolf style mech.. too bad LEGO didn't get the construction block license for Mechwarrior... I believe Mega-Blocks got it.. and they never did stay together...
Oh and the 3 times pieces were missing. LEGO replaced them free, no shipping, no questions!
