...I agree, to some extent. It's far to easy in the western world (not just the US, but also Canada and much of Europe) to suck off the public teat. That doesnn't help the situation at all, but in that society are people who genuinely want to work.

To fix that problem: lower the welfare payments, make it time-limited, and those who do want to work should be able to find reasonable jobs and show others in their community that making a wage is better than bare existence on welfare.
